Who am I?
Since I could crawl and grab and scream I’ve been competitive. In 1988 I entered the Air Force Academy when they recruited me to play linebacker. In 1992 I graduated and served all over the world during five intense years. In 1997 I jumped into commission sales and have provided for my family of 8 as a salesman ever since.
I have sold stocks and bonds and mutual funds and commodities and life insurance, invested in private ventures, made and lost and re-made hundreds of thousands of dollars on joint ventures, partnerships, franchises and running my own businesses.
My library, computer harddrives and brain are over-flowing from the books, CDs, DVDs, conferences, seminars, membership programs and mastermind groups than I can list in under 1,000 words.
I read more books, newsletters and blogs and listen to more podcasts and educational content in a month than normal salespeople, sales managers, business owners and entrepreneurs do in a year.
I have personally sold over $26,000,000 of products, services, software, extended warranties and consulting to clients in at least six nations on four continents. Real products to real businesses, not just “potions and lotions” or some spit-shined, over-priced “info product” cut-and-pasted together from free Wikipedia sites by some dude in his pajamas working on his mom’s 4-year old loaner-PC while living in her basement, sleeping on her couch and nourshing himself with day-old bagels and Mountain Dew.
My team and I have personally trained, educated and consulted over 10,575 salespeople, business owners and entrepreneurs on sales strategies, CRM optimization, marketing, copywriting, web design, SEO, social media, business finance, personnel matters, delivering a keynote presentation, issuing press releases that work and getting your first book published.
My clients range from sole-proprietors to Fortune 50 corporations. I have sold across the kitchen table to spouses and single parents and grandparents preparing for retirement to Ph.D.s and corporate executives with more staff and support personnel than could fit in the conference room.

You see, I’m one of you. I’m not a techy geek that comes online at 7 PM and codes until 4 AM and is afraid to speak to you over the phone. I’m a salesman and a marketer, a business owner, an entrepreneur, a dreamer, a doer like you.

In 2008 I was a “corporate schmuck” making over $100,000 a year in technology sales, but I hated it. I had been renting my home in Southern California since 2004 because I knew there was a crash coming. I was doing everything I could to prepare for the hard rain that was coming so I could provide for my wife and our six children.
At that time I had been following Dan Kennedy for maybe two years and he was doing a 4-city tour with Infusionsoft, and Anaheim was the closest city to me. It was there that I caught the Infusionsoft bug and knew that was the wave of the future:
So I bought their software then immediately enrolled in their “Certified Marketing Automation Coach“ program…and realized I was in over my head!
I had never heard of WordPress. I had never created a web form. My website was built by a friend in Dream Weaver, and it was all HTML, that I couldn’t – and still can’t – edit. I did have a merchant account for my sales training, and I had one info product – and I still have it, and you’ll get it as part of this program, “The 7 Deadly Sins of Selling” – so I had that going for me!
But I did have a work ethic. I knew how to make cold calls and I knew how to give a presentation that Infusionsoft provided to help sell their application and services.
So I went to work with one foot still in Corporate America and one in the world of the entrepreneur because I couldn’t be that guy living in his best friend’s basement until I “made it.” I had rent to pay, along with a wife and 6 kids to clothe and feed. I had to make my boss happy, my wife happy, my kids feel loved while scratching that entrepreneurial itch that goes to the core of your soul to do a job that fulfilled me, which is helping other professional salespeople, sales managers, business owners and entrepreneurs grow and reach their dreams. (You know about that itch, don’t you?)
Since then I have built The Sales Whisperer® into a firm with six Infusionsoft Certified Consultants, additional trainers, copywriters, traffic and SEO and social media experts, coders, developers, web designers, and a boatload of partners, friends and various experts we call on to augment the work we do to help professional salespeople, sales managers, business owners and entrepreneurs grow.
